Bela was still a hard one for Booth to swallow. There were so many confusing signals there. Not that he ever claimed to be an expert on signals or relationships anyway, but he was usually decent on picking those kinds of things up. With Bela it was like there was nothing to pick up. So his wires got crossed. Did she just need someone to get through to her? Would he ever? Did it even matter anymore? So many questions and it was almost pointless to top it all off. He had Buffy. Currently he loved her, and she loved him. At least he hoped. It was hard to tell with her at times, because of the Angel-thing, but he was trying not to hold it against her. It wasn't her fault that she just happened to like two guys with the same face. How unfair would that have been of him to stay angry?
"If I think of any, you'll hear it." He reassured. Seeley was worried about going to hell. He had a calendar in his room where as the days passed he marked them off. It was a little like prisoner behavior which also scared him, but he had to keep track of how long he had. It was just like Ruby said, ten years really wasn't a long time when it boiled down to it. He was trying to do as much good as he could between now and then, but it was only making things extra stressful, and with Booth it showed at times.
He watched her take the wrapped gift and start to dig in with a bit of a smugly pleased look on his face. "I'm sure there's some kind of story there, I'll have to ask her later. I did get her a map from the police warehouse down on fifth. She seems to like finding things.." Booth stated in an off handed kind of way as he watched Kitty.
