"Clearly you need to get out more if I'm the only thing you've got," Sam teased. He cautiously glanced over at her a few times over as he drove, both out of concern for her condition and for some of the issues that she clearly had hidden under that constant snark ridden state of hers. Ruby could pretend, but she couldn't hide everything from him. he knew she had her doubts, just like he had his own. Hopefully, one day soon, he'd be able to fix that.
Sam parked the car, eyes scanning the parking lot. He was covering all his bases. Making sure that everything was damn well clear and secure before wandering off. It was probably pointless, since it seemed unlikely that anything would happen to him in a police station in the middle of the day. But who knew? Sam had seen horrible things happen in police stations before.
Sam covered Ruby's hand with his own and peered over at her. "We've got more important things to worry about right now," he said, squeezing her hand gently. "Plus, in your condition, I'd rather you didn't do too much." Sam lifted her hand up and pressed a kiss to it before he popped his door open and moved around to grab his stuff from the back. Having been stuck with her for the past few days, Sam had thought ahead on the supplies. He'd packed clothes, weapons, cards. Everything he needed to get the job done. Sam glanced out across the street again before he slid into the back and tugged his shirt off. "Do me a favor and make sure that no one is watching, will you? Last thing we need is someone rolling by with sex offender accusations."
