"So the point of this is...what?" Booth asked sarcastically. He really wasn't in the mood for company. He'd gone to that little dive bomb bar in out of the way territory just so he wouldn't have to talk to anyone. But still Lindsey was pulling out money like he'd been invited to sit. If he'd felt like speaking more he would have just asked him to leave, but he had a point. He'd been sitting there before, and Booth came in after the fact so who was he to just ask the lawyer to leave.
His eyes shifted toward the game in the brief silence. He wasn't entirely feeling chatty so he was grateful for the distraction. He liked any spot ending in ball basically. Basketball, football, baseball, though not so much the later. But the other two were favorites. "Got a bet on this game or what?" He wasn't sure Lindsey was the betting type being all lawyery and all, but who knew in this day and age. When he was a young rookie in the FBI he took a bet or five.
"Right. Insightful. " He was even crankier if possible then he'd been when they started out. He sank back against the bar and sipped at his whiskey. The game suddenly had his attention again. He didn't really know what else to say. So he let the white noise take over.
