Now that was impressive. John looked down at his wriststrap and flipped it open, then took the lighter to look at it, clearly making some kind of comparative analysis. After a good look at things, he was pretty sure she hadn't just transported something in to replace that napkin (which was a shame when considering that he was desperate for a way to get around whatever had screwed up his vortex manipulator) and instead rearranged the mass. It was advanced stuff right there.
He lit the lighter and flicked it back out again, then slid it across the table back to the girl.
"I'm impressed," he admitted, feeling a little trumped for the moment. He didn't have anything so flashy he could do. "How's it work? Can you do it without the stick?"
