Hermione wasn't normally one to do this, meeting strangers without even knowing their names, but she had often said that in times like these where things were so unsteady that support was needed. Besides, maybe if she flat out showed her disinterest in the man he would stop openly flirting with her. And then she wouldn't feel the need to punch him in the face or hex him, she had no preference over which she decided to do.
Walking into the coffee house there was nothing to really make her stand out from the other students in the building. Her jeans were well fitted, but not overly tight, and her flat pumps occasionally showed themselves from underneath the denim. She had taken one of Adam's hoodies the last time she had left his apartment so had flung that over her plain shirt in the hope it would offer her some sort of protection or barrier with her hair in the mass of curls down her back that it usually was. She was worried, well only a little, that he wouldn't know it was her but when an older man caught her gaze, she knew that was her companion for coffee.
Brilliant, people will think I am after him for reasons I would rather they didn't.
Taking a deep breath she walked to the table and held her hand out. "Hermione Granger. I assume you are the one I am meant to be meeting."
