She hadn't expected to be apperated out of Hogwarts. Mostly because that was impossible and while Luna very much believed in impossible things, that was still something she hadn't expected. It was a funny looking world too. Very big, she wasn't used to buildings that size in such number, and it was warmer than the castle had been. Stil wintery but not as much. Though she supposed the Ravenclaw common room was one of the warmer areas in the castle. Luna ran through a couple of possibilities in her head, dismissing some of them as a little too out there even for her. Which people would say was rare but she didn't think Death Eaters had that kind of power anymore if they ever had. And unless the Crumple Horned Snorkak had powers of apperition without the wards, Which would have been highly irregular based on the research she'd been doing with her Dad, she was pretty sure she'd experianced something completely new.
How very unusual altogether.
"Hello" she called softly walking through the darkening streets and holding her wand at her side just in case she was mistaken and it was a death eater thing. She really hoped not. There was all sorts of talk about Askaban and trying to educate the poor deluded people. But she didn't know about any of that. She probably wouldn't have been very good at it anyway.
It occoured to Luna that she should probably think more about her prediciment than anything else. But they hadn't seen this when she'd done her divination last week, which confused her. She decided not to tell Hermionie when she got back, thinking the girl would see it as another excuse to disbelieve something. She always did that sort of thing. It was most distressing to Luna sometimes, but then she remembered the ways in which Hermionie was a friend to her and it didn't matter so much anymore. It was a very good way to think. Or so Luna believed.
But there she was getting distracted again. She needed to find someone who would help her. And so she continued to wander, occasionally stopping to stare at intersting shop window displays and skipping the cracks on the footpath.
