Who: Fred Burkle and open What: Fred is just arriving in Lawrence. She’s not exactly sure what just happened to her. Where: The streets of Lawrence When: Early evening
“Wesley,” Fred was having great trouble speaking at all. She had to struggle to get out each and every word. “Why can’t I stay?” That’s when it all got confusing.
Fred was certain that she had just died. A feeling of lightness took over and she felt as if she was falling. She wondered for a brief moment if this was what heaven was like, because surely if she was going anywhere it had to be heaven. She had been a good girl, right? She wondered what heaven would be like. She imagined a place with only bliss and good things, but then she smacked down on what felt like cold pavement.
Strangely enough, all of the pain that had come with the events of that day had eased up completely. Slowly, she opened her eyes and looked around. She had learned years ago to stop expecting everything to make sense. It had come with the territory of being friends with Angel. Vampires, demons, portals... Was that what had happened? She had gone through a portal and wound up laying on some random street in some random city? Almost panicked, now, Fred scrambled to her feet. She hated portals. After all, it was a portal that had sent her to that awful dimension known as Pylea. Fred hurried over to the sidewalk so as to not get run over by a car or truck. She wasn’t exactly sure what to do.
