Sam nodded. "Yes." He did like it. He was surprised by it, too, since Ruby being what she was bothered him a lot more than he let on at times. He knew what she was and he had accepted it, sure enough, but it grated at him knowing that he was doing the wrong thing by being with a demon. He was moving forward, however. He had managed to let himself be close with her when they were together, looking directly into those black demonic eyes that she carried. That had been difficult, but it was an incredible accomplishment for someone like him. It meant that he was trying to embrace her for all that she was. He still was and it was becoming more and more easier as time wore on, but the contact between them now had made it all that much easier here. He enjoyed this. The demonic essence within - everything that Ruby truly was. It was all practically being held in his hands and he liked it.
She did too, from what he could tell. Ruby was advising him that he could do this with her in the future and the thought was more than desirable. Almost as desirable as her promises of teaching him more. There was more. Sam had known that from the start. He had always figured that his options would be limited. Pulling demons, hurting them, killing them off. That seemed to be the general line of it that he had mapped out for a while. But Ruby was making it seem like the possibilities were endless and, for the first time ever, Sam was hoping that she was right. If he could bring things like this on, then perhaps his abilities weren't as awful as he'd believed them to be.
Maybe.
Sam smiled. She was moving against him. She was still that invisible force and she was brushing against the strength of his mind. Unlike Meg, it wasn't an invasion. Not when he was pushing into her and certainly not when she wasn't trying to make him suffer. Ruby wanted him to feel good. And, oh, she was getting exactly what she wanted. This was the first time in a long time that Sam had ever felt so loved.
"I want it," he finally said, turning his head to look down at her. His grip tightened just a little, but it was still gentle as ever. "I want to learn everything you can teach me." Sam leaned down and kissed her softly. "And I want everything you have to offer. You're amazing, Ruby. Everything about you...I want it all. I want to know it all." About her. And him. There were some days where Sam felt like Ruby knew him better than even he did. Today wasn't an exception.
