Honestly Booth had mostly lost track of their conversation when Buffy pressed up against him and held him like that. Kissing every step of the way. Comics just didn't seem as important. He loved them and all, but unlike the average comic nerd he could ignore a pile of books for a pretty blond girl infront of him any day, any time. He was a typical jock on the outside. But looks could be very deceiving. Seeley was layered. He was intelligent, and had more too him then a love for sports and super heroes. Those who he brought into his inner circle knew that.
His fingertips brushed down her shoulders and sides as he kissed her firmly. Then when she pulled away he almost looked like a kicked puppy. He didn't want it to stop. It'd been so long since he'd felt the warmth of another human being. And of Buffy, even longer.
When she uttered those three words every person wanted to hear, Booth looked up with mild, but pleased surprise. "You do?" The expression on his face was light despite his line of questioning being heavy. He wasn't being sarcastic in the least, it was a genuine question. He hadn't heard it since before the war started, that was the last time he could remember those words being anywhere even near their relationship. Buffy had avoided them like the plague and part of him began to wonder.
