"Lois Lane, huh? She sounds like a catch," Buffy grinned, really having no idea what she was talking about. She had missed this, she missed him. Stupid war, stupid camp, stupid everything else that had taken them apart. Really, why couldn't life be like this? Nice and simple. No demons, no deals, no vampires, no slaying, no wars, no nothing. A tiny voice in the back of Buffy's head told her she'd get bored. But for now Buffy decided not to listen to it - instead she kept kissing Booth.
She wrapped her arms around him and when she did it was like there was nothing else aside from them. After a few minutes Buffy pulled away slowly.
"I love you," she said. She couldn't remember if she had ever said that, or if she did when the last time she said it was. She had been scared to say it, scared that saying those three words would curse their relationship somehow. But now, in this moment, she just knew she needed to say it, and she meant it. Every word with all her heart.
