Seeley didn't understand where this came from, but it was so much better then fighting, so he took it. Maybe this was why they were fighting so often, they really hadn't hardly been given time to themselves since everything started sliding into hell. "That's what Lois Lane is for." His lips curved upward as he felt her weight against his own. He could still feel that pain threatening to interrupt, but he'd be damned if he actually let it ruin the serenity he was feeling for the first time in nearly a year.
When she moved in he met her half way and the heat between them made him feel like he could drown right then and there in her presence. The spark hadn't faded even after all those years of distance and worry. The kiss was firm and hungry. His hand slid gently into her blond hair, nudging it gently behind her shoulder.
It was almost like the war outside didn't exist for a few fleeting moments, and he could relax completely. A thing he hadn't done in far too long. The comics forgotten, the daily stress washing off. He felt like a human being again instead of a soldier on auto pilot.
