She'd gotten used to the appearing, he'd done it often enough. Just appearing somewhere to talk to her, like it wasn't torturous enough when he talked on the comms. No, she had to see him in her husbands body. So like him but altogether alien at the same time. He was right, he couldn't pretend to be Sam. He wouldn't even know where to begin. But he was here and soon he'd leave Sam to her. She knew to look away when he left the body. That much blinding grace? It would destroy her if she looked, she hadn't even been able to look at Anna Milton and they called him Lightbringer for a reason.
"He won't leave here." she promised, "And of course he'll be comfortable. I'll give him whatever he needs. I'd never do anything less than that." What would he expect from the woman that loved his vessel more than anything else she'd ever known. If she didn't then why would she be being this weak. Running back to the side of hell because of snatched moments like this? Lucifer had made Sam insane, and if she was any kind of wife she'd end his existance. But Lucifer also knew she never would. That's why she had him after all.
"Twenty Four hours" she confirmed, nodding just once in assent. "Perfectly clear. It's a nice place too" she said, eyes catching the book he'd opened. Of course it had to be the bible didn't it. Irony wasn't lost on Lucifer. "We won't be needing that." she told him, not sure what else to say, waiting for him to give her her husband back.
Only for a short time of course, and he'd mostly be disappointed in her, she knew that. Of course she did. But all the same it was worth it. It was all worth it.
