So this was Prue, then. Jason raised an eyebrow and looked her over, considering her for a moment. She had the guns and the motorcycle, which gave her instant credit as far as he was concerned. But could she really hold her own out there? Hm. Putting her out on the field would probably answer that question for him. If she came back with the heads of those he deemed kill-able, Prue would have proved her worth. If not? She'd die. It wouldn't be any skin off his back either. It wasn't like Jason had any personal attachment to the woman in the slightest or anything.
"I'm sure he'll follow through," Jason replied, "but he's going to need you to do the same on his behalf. See, Jason Todd is a very serious businessman. If you kill for him, he'll make it worth your while. You'll be well supplied, you'll have a safe place to stay, and the Hoods will watch your back. But." Jason paused. He wasn't a fool. Jason didn't just open his arms and embrace everyone who came to his doors with a gun in their hands. That'd be stupid. "If you're here to double cross him, I think you should turn around and walk away while you still can." Jason nodded to the gates, in which the men guarding them immediately turned to the side and faced them with their guns in hand. They didn't raise them. They wouldn't unless Jason outright ordered them to. He had no interest in calling in the firing squad just yet - he was still curious about Prue and her capabilities - but Jason wouldn't hesitate if he thought it necessary.
"See, the Hoods aren't your average gang. This isn't organized crime you're getting mixed up in, sweetheart - it's a lot more than that. We've got eyes and ears everywhere, even in places you'd never expect. We're strategic, we think with our heads, and we don't stop until we get what we want." That was why they were so feared, yet successful at the same time. It was also why they had a lot of enemies that needed to be shot down. People didn't like how Jason and his gang handled things. They wanted them eliminated for good. That in itself was very problematic.
Fingers tapping against the red helmet in his grip, Jason shot Prue a very sharp, intimidating look. He'd gotten his point across and he now knew what business this woman had with him. Might as well go on and make it clear that he was indeed Jason Todd while they were standing here. "I'm the best ally you're ever gonna find in this apocalypse, Prue. Don't fuck it up."
