"Exciting," John replied with lifted brows and swerved the car hard to the left to avoid two seemingly-distracted Croats who were no longer so at the squeal of tires and the flash of bright red paint. Maybe there had been something to Suzie's complaint. Oh well, too late now. At least he swung an arm out to shoot at the next couple in passing, though doing it out of a moving vehicle that he was also driving did nothing for his aim.
"Found the camp," he said after a moment, "Take this and have a couple shots at anything that comes to close. Mind the recoil."
John pulled one of his handguns and slapped it down into Suzie's lap, then put his hand back on the gearshift.
The drive wasn't terribly much further, though they were beginning to grab attention. It was probably a response to being so close to a camp- maybe the things were attracted to people, flesh eating and all of that. Maybe they weren't. John hadn't intended on finding out, but when he saw where the street was cleared off, he was sure that the pair were on the right track. When other gunshots began to join their own, he was sure they were in the home stretch.
"Nearly there now, just hope it's them they're shooting at."
