Suzie had to admit to being a little impressed with John and the hotwiring. He was getting the job done most definitely, that and showing off of course. It didn’t surprise her that he knew Jack, she could tell, same kind of attitude, same kind of outlook. Though Jack might have had a streak of nobility this one didn’t. And nobility was overrated anyway. Highly overrated.
“Not his real name?” she commented, it seemed there were secrets Jack had kept from his team, not that Suzie was surprised. She’d shot him in the head and he’d stood back up. Bit of a shock, she had to admit. “I’ll tell you for nothing, not his biggest fan, Not by a long way. So not at all unexpected that he was lying to us.” She sat back amused as John pulled them out of the parking lot, and then promptly messed up. “Is it even possible to mess up on a car like this?!” she commented amused. “Do you want me to drive for you? I can drive anything” she told him, still trying to stifle a giggle. He had saved her life after all, she supposed it would be considered bad form.
He was getting there, the second time. Maybe she’d let him keep the driving up.
“Shot him in the head. Right in the head and he got back up. Do you know how he does it?” It was a source of great personal insult to Suzie Costello. Why did Jack deserve immortality when she’d been working so hard to achieve it? What had Jack done to ensure that a gunshot to the head or apparently being encased in concrete wasn’t enough to keep him down? “Bet it hurt him though?” she asked.
