The ability to hotwire a car; just another service Time Agents offered. You had to be flexible with a wide range of electronics and mechanical understanding. John was never one to let something like a 21st century vehicle get the best of him. Within minutes the man already had the plastic casing stripped from the ignition wires and was touching them together to get a small spark and the sound of the engine turning.
"That's Jack. Won't even tell you lot his real name. Faithful, reliable, big hero Jack Harkness," John mumbled, attention fixed on the wires until another touch did the trick and the engine roared to life. Grabbing the steering wheel, the Time Agent started fiddling with controls to get the general idea down and whipped them backwards out of the parking lot. Then, like anyone new to the concept, dumped the clutch.
"Damn."
John got the motor going again and did far better with the second attempt to start them down the road. His driving was still jerky but he was coming around, slowly but surely.
"Never put the man in concrete, didn't know he'd come back. Shot him a time or two in the old days, shoved him off a building the last time we met up. He was asking for it."
