For some reason Caroline found Lucifer saying her friends wouldn't hate her reassuring, even though she didn't believe a word of it. She knew Bonnie would say, that Caroline should have joined a camp and joined the fight that way. No one was going to get this. It seemed so rational in her head, sell her soul to protect her friends. Easy stuff, right? But now that it was actually happening…maybe it wasn’t the best thought out plan.
It was definitely not the sort of kiss Caroline was used to, not that she was expecting it too be. The only thing that was going through her head when they were kissing was, 'ohmigod I'm making out with the DEVIL!' If the situation had been different Caroline would have found this hilarious, but it wasn't so she didn't. She could feel something though, something move inside her - was that her soul? Honestly, she didn't want to know.
When he pulled away Caroline felt like she was going to be sick. But there was no going back now. Besides, would anything really be that different - asides from the fact she was taking orders from Lucifer now. In the back of her head she was already wondering what she’d have to do, who she’d have to be around, who she’d have to kill.
Caroline looked down at the ground and her shoes when Lucifer turned away from her. She had so many questions she wanted to ask, questions she was now scared to ask. She looked up when he looked back at her, her stomach sinking even more.
She nodded numbly. “Ah…yes, yes, sir,” she paused swallowing hard.
