They appeared to be locked in a neverending cycle of smug which she knew very well was dangerous. They'd one up each other over and over until one of them broke. And who knew how long that would be? "We have to stop don't we?" she asked him popping another grape into her mouth. They really were delicious, and she was still craving the wine he hadn't let her have yet. She hopped back up on the table where he'd first perched her and finally relented. "So...because I love you and you like to feel like you've won. Fine. I'm tiny. Your tiny little pocket demon fiancee." she said moving in closer to him eyes dancing with that same mischief even though she'd admitted defeat. It had been entirely to shut him up. She wasn't that tiny.
That and she supposed she had cheated with the telekinesis. It had been the quickest and easiest way she knew to getting the grapes. And it had seemed the best way to prove him wrong again. She was still altogether proud of it as a plan.
"Now that you have that out of your system" she queried looking up. Yes fine up at him. "What comes next?" She couldn't have imagined this a year ago. This weird, almost adorable cuteness they managed sometimes. She wouldn't have thought Sam capable of it back when all he was to her was a weapon. He had shown a heart that she hadn't expected and then he had given that heart to her. He'd showed her what love was supposed to be.
Even if sometimes he was a jerk.
"Also I probably should ask? How long do you intend to be smug about this? Should I just go to sleep for a few hours until it wears off? Days, Months maybe?" she teased, leaning right in close to him. Knowing Sam he would milk this. Every last bit of smugness he could get out of this, he would.
