It was best overall if they didn't think too much about it. About her blood or the closeness it used to be able to bring them. They'd just have to be like everyone else now, show their love in the usual ways. Or as usual as they got. They'd never be completely normal but they worked. That had been the point of the proposal hadn't it. That they were in love in spite of all the reasons they shouldn't be. She loved Sam Winchester more than she'd ever expected being able to love anyone and here they were engaged. That was what was important, not her blood, not the power that came with it. They didn't need it because she didn't like what it did to Sam. It made him different. Terrifying. But they'd gotten through that, with Sam's strength and the help of Epiphiny's potion. He was doing better than she could ever have expected.
She watched Sam taking his time, getting past the temptation that she knew he was feeling. He was getting over it in his own way and at his own pace and that was what was important. She had never been more proud of him and stole a quick kiss as he squeezed at her hip, just before he leaned back. Mocking her height. Well he was one to talk. "I'm not that much shorter than a normal person. And I used to be taller remember? You like me like this, but I've seen tinier." she told him amused, "And who would actually pick me up and..."
Well that had been a stupid question, she thought as Sam did just that, picking her up by the waist and flinging her over his shoulders, where annoyingly she lay quite comfortably. "I admit nothing!" she said giving a squeal as he stood up with her still over his shoulder. "This is all a ruse so you can steal a good view of my ass" she told him lightly hitting at his back and kicking her feet, annoyingly unable to stop laughing at the fact he'd actually done it. Actually picked her up. "Put me down Winchester or you're not getting any tonight!" she told him.
It was an empty threat of course and she expected he knew it, generally all he had to do was get all in charge and insistant and she'd crumble, But maybe he'd think twice and she could get away and find a way to make him pay for the lifting up. Either way she wasn't going to admit to being tiny. Cause then he'd be smug.
