Ruby loved every second of this, it was just them, just a burgening excitement that they were in this together now, forever. It was them, there was no one that could get between the love they shared for each other and they were going to stand up and declare that forever and ever they'd be one. Of course Sam's kisses were enthusiastic, of course his grip on her tightened with every moment. She smiled against his lips as his fingers slipped under her shirt, resting at her hip. Her heart seemed to skip a beat even though they'd done this a million times before, this and more. It seemed different now somehow. Now they were an engaged couple. There was no question of the love between them. Not anymore.
But of course the temptation hadn't left them. She wasn't about to lie to Sam, the way he talked about it, the way he touched her, his breath against her skin, every nerve in her body was alive and burning to just have him. And the demon she was craved the contact they'd once shared. "I wish you could too. I wish you could feel just how happy you've made me" she told him. They couldn't of course, there was only one way to do that and they couldn't. They both knew it. "We'll just have to find other ways to make up for it, won't we?"
Happiness didn't come easily for people like them. They'd come through a lot, and this was the first time in a long time she'd not been worried about something he or she herself had done, or something that was trying to hurt them, or worse her own jealousy or worry. There was a million reasons they shouldn't have worked and they'd come through them all. They loved each other more than anything else. And that was how it would stay now. They'd fight this apocolypse and they'd win. He pulled back from her and she laughed at the nickname.
"You know I'm actually not that tiny. You're just some kind of giant like in those books Hermionie is from." she told him teasingly. "Its just what it is." She would have this forever now, the jokes, the laughter. The feeling of pure love. And really good sex. No denying that. "We're really doing this!" she said, her hand sliding to meet his on her hip as her other hand entwined with his. "We're getting married?"
