Repeated baseball bats to the head. Well it was a new analogy for a new accomplishment. And he wasn't trying to drown it in pills and whiskey. No that had all stopped when she had gotten close enough to him to make that call.
"Its just a matter of breaking through remember. Pushing till it finally clicks in place and its easy. And just like pulling demons did, it'll become easy. And someday, even the kill will be easy."
She leant over for her bag, pulling it closer to them and removing a little tub filled with a greeny paste.
"Its herbal actually. Infused with a bit of magic. Not my usual thing and definitely not my usual brand of magic but I remember this old woman in my village, had all these blends, could do anything with those"
She remembered a woman, and she remembered herbs but the details were sketchier than she let on. A lot sketchier. Lost mostly and never missed but she'd needed the little she remembered.
She slipped around behind Sam kneeling and beginning to massage the stuff gently into his forhead, a little on each side. Rubbing it in gently before her hands slid down to his shoulders. He was so tense "It should help a little and then maybe after the next go, if you feel this bad again then you just have to ask remember? Just ask and you can have it"
This done she leaned in with a gentle smile as she continued to massage at his shoulders.
"And yes Sam, you made him hurt. You made the demon hurt. Without anything but your own power. One step closer"
