Tess nodded, trying to follow everything Danny was saying. If this was some sort of second chance handed to her by fate, she had decided that she was going to make the best of things. Without any of her alien abilities, Tess probably couldn’t pose a decent threat to any of these demons. She decided that she would have to look into training, perhaps up her physical strength if that helped in the fight against the demon threat.
“I might as well sign up for something like that. I imagine it would be pretty annoying to those at the top to have people constantly brought here only to sit on their asses and do nothing.” She gave a small shrug. Maybe that wasn’t how the higher ups felt, but Tess was kind of irritated about her current situation and it was showing in her choice of words. “I’d appreciate it if you’d help me out, too.” She added, trying to smile for the sake of being pleasant. “With whatever you remember.”
Tess was glad that she was relatively unknown in this place. For one, her reputation would only hamper her in this place. She’d found that people didn’t tolerate murderers very well. Especially, though, because of what Danny had said about demons. She physically shuddered thinking about what damage a demon could do with all of her powers. It could easily take out the city.
“You have... powers?” She tilted her head and eyed him curiously.
