She was thankful for the extra hour. The Rabbit she held in her hands had seen better days. Its blood mixing with the other ingrediants in her spell as she finally dropped the rabbit picked up the chalice containing the mixture and began walking, daubing a few symbols on the wall as she did. It was infernal magic, but her witchcraft was sound. It was a warning system as much as anything else, would hurt the demons going in, would make the place safer, less likely to be attacked. The fact that she'd suggest to Lilith not to would help too.
Focusing on the seals. Its how it had to be now.
She muttered in Latin, her eyes black as she drew the symbols into the walls of the building, walking its perimiter close enough to be unseen from the road. The spell componants would eventually disappear, fade into nothing, be a binding protection and her own blood would be the final addition.
Ironicly not as a demons blood, but a witches blood, she wondered amused if Sam would get its scent in the next day or two.
She wasn't proud of her time as a witch, like all demons she considered them little more than whores, giving themselves over to a demon for power, she knew she wouldn't have to look far to find witches willing to chant away their souls for the power it would give them, brief fleeting mortal power, so far beneath what she was now. She'd been lucky. Azazel had found her, chosen her from among the ranks of lesser demons. He'd elevated her, and until Dean had killed him things had been good in hell.
She had to fulfill his plan. she owed him. She owed him so much.
Black eyes raised to the higher floors, and her mind went to Sam, she only owed him what she'd gained in the last months. Actual feelings of love, genuine like nothing else in her life.
More Latin and more symbols followed until finally she stepped back lifting her hands, still bloody from the rabbit and chanted. A line of flames surrounded the building and Ruby held it with her mind, reaching down to remove her knife and sliced across her palm. Her blood dripped on the grass and seemed to move toward the flame independently.
And the flame vanished.
It was done. She looked down at her hand amusedly, Her blood would do so much more than this. Her blood would change everything.
But for now. The apartment block was a little bit more anti demon. Thanks to one who just so happened to have been a witch.
