Bonnie was slightly conflicted about agreeing to meet with Caroline, despite the fact that she had made her ring for her just a few hours ago. Because even though Caroline had been her friend pretty much since birth, she was a vampire now and that changed things. Bonnie was tense as she sipped on her iced coffee, lost in thought about how she would handle being around Caroline, before the girl in question showed up.
There was no mistaking the voice and when Bonnie looked up at her name being called, she barely had time to visually register that it was indeed Caroline before she was tackled with a hug. Despite all thoughts not to, she tensed up further, her heartbeat quickening. In spite of all her bravado, vampires still scared her. And unfortunately that meant Caroline scared her too.
Then she forced herself to relax, chiding herself for behaving so coldly when it was obvious that Caroline was still just Caroline under the fangs. Her arms slipped around the blonde girl as she hugged her friend back.
