"Yeah, Caroline. Forbes, nice to meet you," Caroline replied, offering the other blonde a smile. Quinn looked familiar, really familiar, but Caroline couldn't place it. Maybe she was just disoriented from getting here. Caroline hadn't lived anywhere other than Mystic Falls, and she knew there wasn't a Quinn there - she'd definitely remember that. Maybe they had met when she spent the summer with her dad and his boyfriend? Or maybe it was nothing, nothing at all.
Caroline laughed. "Well if it helps at all, back in Mystic Falls since my mom was sheriff I always got stuck with that job - and so far you're doing great." For a moment it hurt to think about her mother. They didn't get along at the best of times, but what would she think when Caroline was gone? Or worse, what would her mom do if she found out Caroline was a vampire? Would she believe it? Or think Caroline had become one of those psycho goth kids who smoked in the cemetery and had their teeth shortened?
"I kind of got a Coles Notes version," Caroline replied. "Honestly, I was only half listening I was still kind of in freak out mode from getting here, then I thought that Epiphany girl was crazy and," she hesitated a moment. She glanced at Quinn, she looked like they were about the same age, which was a good thing - she guessed. Quinn would probably get where some of the emotion had been coming from, she hoped. "I know it sounds stupid and insignificant to everything here, but right before I found myself in the middle of Kansas of all places," she paused again, feeling a wave of emotion. "I had just broken up with my boyfriend. Well, I kind of tricked him into doing the breaking up...but still."
