Adam was hoping that at some point he'd stop having awkward meals with people. Especially family members. On that note, he was also hoping that there wouldn't be any more family members coming out of the woodwork on him. But, there was no way to know for sure. For all Adam knew, there could be even more brothers, or even sisters, out there that John didn't feel like telling him about, and that would mean there were other kids out there that watched their moms struggling like he watched his. Man, Adam still kinda thought his dad was a bastard.
Not having all that much money here in Lawrence, Adam just grabbed some burgers from a nearby McDonalds. He hadn't been back for long when he heard a knock on the door. Not quite ready for the awkward to commence, he paused for a moment before finally making his way to the door and pulling it open.
"Hey," he said simply when he saw Dean standing there, case of beer in hand. "Come on in." Adam wasn't really sure what else to say, so he just stepped back and opened the door further to let him in.
