WHO: Buffy and Dawn Summers WHERE: Dawn’s room WHAT: Sister time WHEN: After this RATING: TBA STATUS: Incomplete
Buffy was nervous. She had no idea how to do the sister thing, what was Dawn expecting from her? Still, Dawn had asked her to come over, and from what Spike had said…things weren’t too good. She had gone for ice cream, and not knowing what flavor Dawn liked the best had got the works (a carton of chocolate, a carton of vanilla, of strawberry, rocky road, cherry Garcia, and some other name she couldn’t pronounce), so hopefully Dawn would like at least one of them.
What Spike had said worried her. Partially because it was from Spike, Buffy still wasn’t used to the idea of him being a good guy, and what he had said period. She didn’t really know Dawn, but she didn’t want to see her get hurt. Especially when it came to vampire’s being involved. She was the slayer, she should be out there right now hunting Damon down and staking him. There had been something different about him, something Buffy couldn’t put her finger on.
She’d worry about that later (unless bodies drained of blood ended up on the streets), right now Dawn was her priority – trying to be a sister was her priority. This would take some getting used to, this being a sister. But a part of it…thinking about being a sister, as scary as it was – it was kind of nice. In a way.
Buffy adjusted the bags full of ice cream in her hand and knocked on Dawn’s door. “Dawn? It’s Buffy. With ice cream.”
