"After that list, is there any madness that hasn't shown up?" he asked dryly. When summarized, it sounded even less believeable. If it wasn't for waking up in Lawerence after falling asleep only a couple of hours before, it would have taken a lot more to convince him that it wasn't the people there was something wrong with, but the city itself. Still, there was a lot to go on blindly.
"Warm and fuzzy." He gave the amulet another look. Funny how that little thing was worth more than most of what he'd seen in his lifetime and didn't look a damn thing like it. "Thank god for amulets." The corner of his mouth turned up. "I never thought I'd hear myself say something like that."
