Damon smiled at Dawn, trying to look warm with the expression even if he was usually a cold individual. He could sense awkwardness in the air, but he’d expected that. One doesn’t usually begin a relationship by immediately hopping into bed with the other party. Actually, Damon never even really began relationships at all. He was the kind who took on women and girls as if they were merely passing hobbies. When he got bored he simply discarded them. He didn’t think he was completely unkind for doing so, of course. His actions were justifiable, in his mind.
“Hi,” He cocked his head to the side slightly, smile brightening just a tiny bit. Damon gave her a once over, taking in the details and trying not to look like a creep in doing so. “You look lovely tonight.”
Damon wasn’t lying. Dawn was a beautiful little thing, if only a bit young, but she seemed about the same age as Caroline, the last girl who had served as his arm-candy.
“You know Lawrence better than I do, so I thought I would let you choose where we go.”
