Any and all spider-monkey references would have gone over her head, thankfully, because even if her Edward was a jerk he wasn't as corny as his movie counterpart. If he had been, maybe she would have tried getting over him a lot faster than her current pace. Regardless, she walked with Damon over to the bar, thanking him with a grin as he held the door open for her.
"It looks like it," she said, peering around the bar before settling her gaze on him. "Does that kind of thing happen often here? You wouldn't happen to have seen a vampire called Victoria around, would you?"
She still hadn't fully dismissed her theory about how she got here, an elaborate kidnapping thought up by James' mate, but it wasn't really much of a concern as it was a curiosity. When she finally got over this happy and carefree phase she seemed to be going through, there was going to be a major freakout waiting for her at the end of it.
