WHO: Buffy Summers and Andrew Wells (yay!) WHERE: A random street downtown WHEN: Early afternoon WHAT: BUFFY'S ARRIVAL THAT'S WHAT!! RATING: TBA STATUS: Incomplete
The day was almost over, thankfully, and Buffy Summers was on her way to the Sunnydale High library. A little Slayer training with Giles, and then off to the Bronze with Xander and Willow. Buffy really wanted to skip the training bit today; she was already exhausted after writing a history test. Why couldn't there be some sort of quota on how much energy a Slayer could use up in a day? Seriously? Once she reached her quota, then all would be well and all the vamps and demons and the like would stay away.
Yeah, right. Buffy had learned a long time ago (or so it felt like), not to wish for normal.
Buffy's eyes suddenly widened. This was definitely not normal. Not that her life was normal, being a vampire slayer definitely meant she didn't qualify there - but this? This was just weird. No this was beyond weird. She wasn't standing in the hallway of her school anymore, she was...in the middle of a street? A street that she definitely didn’t recognize, it didn’t look like Sunnydale, or Los Angeles for that matter. What had just...
"Okay," Buffy said under her breath, her hand instinctively going into her bag and pulling out a steak. Just in case. "Stay calm Buffy."
Had she just teleported? Because there was no way she was dreaming right now, was there? Unless this dream was very vivid and allowed her to feel things, because she felt the steak in her hand, and the slight breeze in the air. Unless she just thought she was feeling it, and it was all part of…what?
Buffy wracked her brain, trying to think of a demon that was capable of this - but she was drawing a blank. Where was Willow or Giles when she really needed them? Giles would be able to come up with some explanation quickly, at least a good enough one it would be something to go on, and Buffy would know whose butt she’d be kicking.
Fully pulling the steak out of her bag, Buffy began to slowly walk down the street.
"You know, you could have at least caused a tornado or something if you wanted to bring me here. I mean yeah it’s cliché, but it’s a lot more classy," she called out, not sure who or what she was talking to (or if anyone was even listening). "Or have done this neat little trick when I was writing my history exam, I really could have used it then."
