Static had been above the city. In desperate need to get out of that place he was sharing with Bart-he took the next patrol opportunity that came along. So far things had been quiet, but that was good. He wasn't sure how this city had affected his abilities. So far so good, but the kitchen had been messy. He really didn't want some innocent civilian getting in the way if his powers decided to act up again.
It wasn't his city, but he was a boy with an undeniable hero complex. To paraphrase one of his best friends favorite sayings; if super heroing was easy everybody would do it. Crazy dedication, check. Flying disk, check. Firey explosion in the distance--woah, wait. What Back up. Turning the disk he was flying on powered by his own electricity toward the smoke he raised a brow. That wasn't normal. Not normal at all.
He flew off in that direction until he was just above the alley. That's when he saw the scene below and grinned. Time for some real action. "Didn't your mom ever teach you to play nice with the other kids?" Static quipped as he lowered down behind the purse snatchers and gave them a charmingly mocking grin. "Stealing is defiantly not nice." Gun. First item on the list. A bolt of electricity strong like a magnet jerked the gun from the robbers hand, and he looked at the two women. "Close your eyes." Another beam of concentrated electricity and the weapon stuck to the alley wall high out of reach. It lit up like the fourth of July and then dimmed.
"You guys okay?" The robber was backing away already. Static saw it out of the corner of his eyes. "Hey now, don't think I forgot about you. Why don't you just..hang around for a while." He said as he manipulated his electricity into a net that wrapped around him and squeezed his arms to his sides. Using the ability to form a long string of static, he hung the criminal from the fire escape upside down.
