Parker’s eyes widened slightly as she looked around at the set-up Jack had in his apartment. It looked like something out of a movie. She wasn’t sure what she had imagined, exactly, but this was a million times better. She smiled like a kid in Disneyland.
She nodded emphatically to each question. There wasn’t much time in between each inquiry to answer out loud, but she thought the nods were enough. Parker was used to doing illegal things all of the time. Promising to keep the experiments top secret wouldn’t be too much of a stress for her.
“Do you think we’ll be able to get home?” She looked hopeful with that smile on her face. To be home would be all that she wanted and then some. To have helped get everyone back to their own, safe world would be an honor. The notion made her beam.
