Clark Kent ([info]ex_sonofkryp215) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
Ron didn't know how they were going to get out of this thing in one piece with all those demons scampering in through the broken window. That wasn't to say that he wasn't going to try doing all he could to ensure that they did, but Ron was a skeptic at heart. When he saw something bad, he got all negative and thought the worst was going to happen, even though his heart demanded that he do something to prevent it from doing so. Wand tightly focused on keeping the injured man afloat, Ron desperately looked over at Nightwing. Where was the bloody signal? What was he waiting for - the demons to decide that they didn't want to maul them to death after all? Blue eyes fixed on the shattered window, Ron shifted his wand from one hand to the other. Taking aim, he fired a stunning spell at the first demon that he could get a proper fix on. It wasn't as strong as it could have been, even with his magic being a bit off against enemies in this wacky universe, but it made the demon stumble a bit. That'd buy them some kind of time, right?

Clark was going to make sure that they had all the time that they needed. Breaking a ladder down from a wall it had been welded to along the side of an alleyway, Clark wrapped the steel around the demon that he had captured, shoved it back into the wall, and used his heat vision to glue the ladder down. The demon was stuck. Unless it tried to escape the body it was possessing, it wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Satisfied with that at least, Clark turned and took off at a run toward the McDonalds. One second he had been standing halfway down the street with his captured demon, less than half a second later Clark was at the broken window, scaring the offending demons back with intimidating blasts from his heat vision. He didn't strike any of them - Clark was aiming for the pavement - but the heat vision had clearly taken them all by surprise. Most of them were running back. The few who dared to linger behind tried to shoot at him with their guns, but they weren't effective. The bullets simply bounced right off him. "Thought I'd rival some of that heat with a little of my own," Clark said, voice coming in through the comms. "Be careful. I think I saw one or two get in before I got to the window."
