"I have a feeling they're not coming down here," Kate said, squinting in the distance. "Or they would be here by now."
"Kate," she nodded. "Yeah, I'm from the complex. Been keeping to myself for a while," saying that out loud made her feel guilty. Everyone else was always out fighting the fight, and what was she doing? Hiding up in her room and feeling sorry for herself, the stuff good people are made up of - nice one Kate. "Until all this happened of course, I couldn't sit back anymore."
She put the gun in the back of her pants, and wiped her hands on her jeans. She looked at Eliot for a moment, trying to get an idea for who he was. Not that it really mattered right now, there were a lot more important things to deal with.
"Where were you headed?" she asked, adjusting her pony tail. "The complex?"
