Sam couldn't blame Shay for that. He was practically the King of fighting dirty, what with the crazy use of demon blood in his battles and all the rules that he and Dean broke just to get the job done. Still, to use something this extreme against an enemy? There had to be some serious hate from whoever had decided to start it all. It had to have been Lucifer. With Lilith gone, he was the only big bad left playing in the field, wasn't he? Sam furrowed his brow thoughtfully as they moved. He didn't think too much into it. Sam needed to focus on what was going on here and now, that way he and Shay could get back to base without being surprised by any incoming attacks. "Seems like most people feel the same way about fighting dirty," Sam commented, looking to an overturned vehicle as they passed it. So much for jacking cars.
Sam probably would have left their conversation at that, choosing to keep quiet throughout the rest of the way for the sake of not wanting to draw in any attention.Yet Sam was quick to spot something darting between objects on the street ahead, so the use of his voice was still very much necessary. The alternate route, as it had turned out, wasn't as quiet as the one he'd taken on the way over.
"We've got company," Sam warned Shay, nodding to the bodies moving in their direction. There were about three of them. Sam couldn't tell if they were sporting the demon eyes (the only thing that really mattered there was that if they were, that likely meant that they'd be seeing the same on Sam and Shay as well), but he chose to duck behind the nearest car nonetheless. Better to be safe than sorry. Sam gestured for Shay to do the same, already preparing himself to get the drop on the trio headed their way.
