She nodded, "Ready as I'll ever be. Let's get a move on." A nod followed, "And divide and conquer is a pretty standard practice. It's what my Cutters do back home, or ... will do." Her brow furrowed, "Are doing even without me there, probably." She shook her head then, knocking her train of thought back into place, "But breaking up a larger group into smaller factions and pitting them against each other so you don't have to do all the work yourself? It's ... pretty easy, actually."
And now it was just going to bother her that she hadn't thought to look at the current from that angle, Dr. Cable would have known that from the start, that it was a tactic, and Tally probably would have been able to figure it out pretty quick too, because Tally was like that. Just the fact that she'd been too scared and confused to think clearly about it was making her itch. She'd already figured out that people around here reacted like she was a total bubble-head if they saw her slicing a new line into her arm, and she didn't have time for it right at the moment, so she did the next best thing, just curled one hand more tightly around the strap of her bag, nails digging into her palm.
