She passed the test. Sam sighed in relief, shaking at his wrist to get rid of the salt he'd dumped on himself. He finished the gesture by wiping his hands on his jeans, then shook his head in response to Shay's questions. "So far? We don't have much of a plan besides surviving. There are a few people - like Cas - who are pretty convinced that we're dealing with something that isn't demons here, but..." Sam shrugged. "It's what we're seeing, isn't it? Demons. I don't know yet - right now, we're looking into things. I wish I could tell you more than that." He made sure to seal the salt container. Sam really didn't want to waste any right now. Tossing it in his backpack, Sam said, "We've got a couple people grouped up in different locations, last I checked. I don't know them all." Honestly, that frustrated Sam more than anything. He needed to be sure that everyone was all right. He couldn't do that if people didn't believe that he wasn't a demon. "But I do have a place we can go back to, if you're okay with that. Ruby and a few others are there. It's pretty secure. I was actually just getting supplies for everyone." Sam gestured to the store. "Once I get what I need, you're more than welcome to follow me back over. They'll be relieved to find another one of us is okay."
Another one of us. Because that's what Shay was, wasn't she? Sam didn't know her terribly well, but he considered her an ally at best. She had been helpful with attacks like these in the past. She was part of the team.
"I take it this is your base of operations?" Not too shabby, hiding where there was food and water. But it didn't appear to be the safest of places.
