It hadn't worked. Confusingly, it hadn't worked. And he hadn't misspoken the Latin. He had said it all in the right order and the womans eyes were still black, she'd screamed at him, screamed about her son, and in the end, in the confusion of it all, Jacen had put her to sleep and closed her in a room. He'd given her the knowledge and certainty that her son was fine, and safe and would be looked after. The demon wouldn't care but he hoped to whatever power was looking out for these people that the woman would know. He'd bring her son back as soon as it was safe for him to be here but this was something Jacen couldn't fix. Something he couldn't make better and he quickly realised he'd forgotten how useless he always felt in situations like this. Jacen Solo, who had gotten so used to the idea that he could make everything better by his will alone. Was at a loss.
He didn't like it.
"Kriff it" he cursed, securing the door against the howling demon and leaning back against the door frame trying to work out his next move. He had a upset boy, a mother so strongly possessed he couldn't get the thing out of her, and a girl who was understandably wary of Jacen's abilities, clearly the fact he'd given her a wrong name wouldn't have helped either. None of this would go well. But he had to do something didn't he? If nothing else, the woman would be safe where she was, and they could work from there, something would come to light.
He had to go back to Sunshine, he knew that much. Hold up somewhere nearby so the son wasn't far from his mother, and ride this out he supposed, until more information was given to them about all this and just how bad it was getting. Because he wasn't sure the Winchesters had ever commented on a demon that an exorcism couldn't remove, and demons weren't mindless either. Why had one so powerful locked into the woman. Was she special? Was the boy? He sensed his way to the boy's presence in the house across the street and quickly followed it, knocking just once to alert Summer.
"It's Ganner, let me in" he said simply the worried tone seeming to grow more so at his next words, "I need to talk to you alone"
