WHO:Dawn and Dean
WHAT: Hanging out and getting slushies
WHEN: Yesterday
WHERE: A slushie place (Prolly 7/11)
Ratings PG-13 cause Dean cusses.
STATUS: Closed/Incomplete.

Asking Dawn to hang out and drink some slushies (maybe mock some teenagers lacking taste) seemed an opportune time to check up on how she was doing. He had promised himself that he would be there for her. Making the teenager more of a personal responsibility now that Buffy was gone. He knew that Buffy would have done the same for if the tables were turned, despite the way the things had been left between the slayer and Sam. Despite the fact that Sam was technically old enough to take care of himself. It was the older sibling mentality and it had been one of the many things that the blonde slayer had understood in away no one else could. How the protection of the 'special' younger sibling came above a whole lot. Buffy might be in her own world, with the Dawn of her time, not recalling anything of her time spent in his world but that didn't push aside the necessity of keeping an eye on Dawn. What more it mattered to him. He needed to, wanted to know that Dawn was safe. Even though she had people from her world to look out for her. Which was why he didn't simply leave it up to them. It was why he made himself get involved.

It didn't hurt at all that he liked the kid ... teenager. Dean knew next to nothing about teenagers who had mostly normal lives. And no matter the circumstances and the horrible experiences, Dawn had luckily gotten to have as much of a normal life that her mother, her sister, and their friends could give her, from what Dean had been told and could gather. Dean's life had been normal for him but no where near normal standards, and still a bit further off from what the Summers had experienced. Dean knew even less so about teenage girls. He would have to be much more attentive on checking up on her and probably remember stuff that were completely over his head. It was a lot to figure out in the middle of an apocalypse. But, well, it didn't hurt that he liked the kid.

Dean was waiting for said kid in the lobby at the time they agreed on. Thinking on teen friendly places that he could take her to grab a bite to eat or something. He probably should have asked Sam before showing up, his brother had always had a better sense of what was status qou normal than Dean had. But Dean had been more focused on showing up on time, attempting to push other distractions out of his mind.

He'd take her to McDonald's. That couldn't hurt. Who didn't love McDonald's?
