He seemed to know what she was going to say when she opened her mouth to mention that he would get some sort of payoff from education and she quickly shut her mouth. So he knew her a bit too well, but it was a very good point. She guessed it didn't help much here, seeing that there weren't any jobs that could come from a magical education in America. At least, not this universe's America. And yes they had left Hogwarts back home but that did not mean she would give up.
"I intend to go back once Voldemort is defeated, actually."
She wouldn't give up on her education if she got the chance to go back. And she was sure she could talk to one of the Professor's, perhaps Professor McGonagall, and see about returning for that last year. She was sure that they wouldn't mind her going back after all that is over with, unless it took years that was. She was brought from her thoughts when Ron pushed the juice to her and she smiled in thanks, putting her little bag on the table and unbuttoning her jacket, resting it over a chair. She would be here a little while she assumed so there was no point in keeping her jacket on. Picking up the glass, she took a sip before leaning against the table at his question. She found this place strange, yes, but she had the advantage of being brought up in the muggle world. She could survive with that way of life without being bored or missing too much. Yes she missed everything back home, but she could still do magic here so it was not as bad as it could be.
"It is strange, yes. Being brought to another universe. Especially one where we are a work of fiction. That really isn't that comforting. But I will settle eventually."
