WHO: Xander, Vi, Dick, and anyone else that may or may not be involved.
WHAT: We're a'gonna hunt us some invisible doggies!
WHEN: Early morning. Somewhat backdated.
WHERE: The streets of Lawrence. Close to the complex.
RATING: Violence.

It was pretty simple, right? Find the evil invisible doggies, then proceed to kill the invisible doggies. Admittedly, the entire plan would be a lot easier if Xander and Co. could actually see the invisible hounds, but they would get to the road when it came along. Hopefully it wouldn't. Xander had briefly spoken to Ruby about dealing with their hellhound situation and she had offered to play scout for them. The bad thing about all that was that Xander didn't trust Ruby as far as he could throw her (sure, she had the advantage of Xander being from a world where there were a few trustworthy demons around - but still! She had tried to end the world!) and he wasn't entirely counting on her showing up to help as promised. If she didn't show in good time, Xander, Vi, and Dick would have to fly through this thing solo. If she did? Then they'd have to worry less about being jumped by an invisible hellhound and more about being tricked by the possibly evil demon. Yep, things were risky all around. But what was life without a little risk, right? Right?

Xander nervously tugged at his jacket. Who was he kidding? They were screwed.

"Just keep swimming, just keep swimmming, we're not gonna die - just keep swimming," he muttered to himself, finding his motivation of the day being inspired by no other than Finding Nemo. Not a bad motto, even if muttering it over and over under his breath while waiting on the rest of the group to arrive probably made him look like a crazy person. Checking his jacket for the handgun he had tucked away (and out of sight), Xander turned and paced his way up and down the sidewalk in front of the complex. Vi was probably inside trying on those clothes that Babs was supposed to hand off to her. And who knew where Dick and Ruby were? He needed to stop worrying. They could do this. They'd find the hellhound(s?), ensure that Babs wouldn't get attacked by any in the future, and go home for pizza. Because, yeah, they were really gonna deserve a good pie after the suicide mission.

Xander wasn't the only nervous one. It wasn't fighting the hell hounds that had Vi on edge, but the fact that their enemy was completely invisible. She'd briefly thought of suggesting they lug around a bag of flour and toss it around when they thought the hound - or hounds - were close, but it was too much of a hassle and there was no guarantee that it would work. So it was left up to being very alert, very armed, and relying on Xander, Dick, and Ruby if she came with them. She trusted Xander implicitly, Dick just enough because he was trying to protect Babs, and Ruby...well, she really did seem to want to help.

The clothing she'd been lent fit almost as well as her own, she noted with approval. The worry that it would make for awkward fighting dissipated, leaving more room for the growing concern over the invisible nature of the enemy. Which led to retrieving several more weapons and hiding them on her person, as well as another bottle of holy water. There was always room for holy water.

After two checks to make sure everything was in place, Vi headed downstairs and outside. She bent down, hands resting on the pavement as she began stretching out her legs. Slayer or not, pulled muscles could happen at inconvenient times. As she stood up straight again, she swung her arm over her head, the other hand resting on her elbow as she stretched the arm. A frown appeared as she approached Xander. "Huh?"

Two out of three trusted the demon. Dick did not. Not in the least to be honest and he wasn't very thrilled about having her along. However it wasn't like they had much of a choice if they wanted a hellhound GPS. That's all she was to him. He hadn't been there when she tried to end the world, but he was raised by Batman. Master of paranoia. Dick did not trust easily. He didn't know Vi, but he trusted Xander enough to give her a sliver of leeway. She was helping him protect Babs, so she couldn't be bad. He made a mental note to try talking to her after-if there was an after.

Dick was crouching on a building just above the pair, dressed in his trademark black and blue Kevlar. He was a master of using the shadows to his advantage, so only if Xander and Vi really knew what to look for would they spot the vigilante. After a few minutes spent scoping out the street where the two waited, he decided it was safe enough.

Unraveling the grappling at his waist, he began to repel down the side of the building and landed silently, seemingly out of nowhere beside Xander and Vi. "Ready?"
