To break off for Eliot/Jo
The blond meant what she said to Ruby about birthdays, even though she was distracted by a certain hitter who was joining them. She decided then that she had picked the right dress. Red was her favorite color, after all, and since Eliot wasn't doing anything other than smile at her, she figured she'd chosen correctly. "Well, Sam did say we had to dress nice, so..." Jo trailed off with a shrug, then headed on towards the restaurant with the other two. When Eliot held the door for them, she let Ruby walk in first, hanging back slightly to wait for Eliot, and she smirked as she caught his words.
"And just think - seems like just yesterday they were in pull-ups and pigtails." The smirk shifted to a grin as she watched Ruby walk over to Sam, watching closely for just a moment just to be sure Sam didn't do some kind of football tackle. When Eliot spoke again, she looked back to him, then blinked as he offered his arm, and took it after a moment's hesitation. "Let's." She smiled up at him, then followed the demon over to Sam.
When they reached the table, she met the younger Winchester's eyes after noting how he helped Ruby into a chair, as if to make sure he looked like he was ready for this. Whatever she saw satisfied her, and she glanced over her shoulder to the empty table he indicated. It was a fair distance away - enough for privacy - but she could make it across the room quickly if she had to, so she nodded.
"Hey, you're the one buying dinner." Jo offered him a smile, though it was tinged with embarrassment when he said she looked nice. She hesitated a moment, then stepped forward and moved up on her toes to press a light kiss to his cheek. "So do you." She then spoke quieter, directly into his ear. "Behave or things won't go so nice tonight."
Dropping back down to her heels, she stepped away with Eliot, moving over to their table - and of course angling for the seat that would give her the best view of Sam and Ruby.
