He'd extracted people from difficult situations, tracked dangerous people and taken them out, and played bodyguard but this was the first time he'd ever agreed to accompany someone playing chaperone for two adults going on what he assumed to be a date. Since Jo had asked and Eliot couldn't let her take on that task alone, he'd agreed. If anything, it was a chance for them to spend some time together outside of the Roadhouse or the complex.
Since there hadn't been an occasion that called for it, he had ended up having to go shopping. The last time he'd needed to pick up something formal, Sophie had been in tow. The damn task had ended up lasting over an hour as she picked through shirts and ties, muttering about what colors would look best on him. This time, he'd managed to get in and out of the shop in less than half an hour. Dark gray shirt, black dress pants, black tie.
Turning off the truck, Eliot grabbed the leather jacket out of the seat beside him and the tie draped over the back of the seat, draping it around his neck before he got out and shut the door behind him. As he started across the parking lot, he caught sight of the two women heading towards the restaurant. It took him a moment to realize it was Jo and Ruby. He jogged towards them, slowing down once he caught up. "Evening."
