No doubt about it, the past few weeks had sucked. Kassandra had come to this new world where she was having to learn entire new rules for killing creatures of the night who targeted people. When she tried to relax one night, she wound up dosed with ex. That one night where her guard slipped was what was really bothering her. No one seemed to be wanting to let her live that down. Great to know she was here with all these people from worlds where they never make mistakes.
She shook her head as if trying to get something out of her hair. She didn't need to think like that. She was on a mission to save as many people as she could from creatures who would do them harm. Just because some were being high and mighty pricks towards her doesn't mean she should have let them get to her. Let them be that way. She was still going to try her best to keep them alive.
It was unfortunate that this mission was going to have to be done alone. Kassandra was a very social girl, and she liked having people to talk to. Though lately the best conversation she had was with a werewolf mage who she had been sending sarcastic remarks to, hoping he wasn't going to do what he had done recently. She was sure that everyone was watching their conversations and rolling their eyes at her, but she didn't care. At least she had tried to get his attention elsewhere, what had they done?
She was off on her own at the moment, she had decided that she had to do something today to remind her of why she was who she was. She had seen things, yes. But that was not the reason she hunted them. She looked up at a large building with a bright sign that said "Lawrence Memorial Hospital" on it. It was for everyone those things were after. It was for everyone those things hurt. She walked inside and asked if they needed any volunteers for visiting people, hoping she could bring a smile to someone's face.
