At the questions, she didn't even hesitate before shaking her head. "Hell no." Jo poured herself a half shot of whiskey and set the bottle down again, leaning against the counter to hold it up against his for a toast. "Here's to not living the ordinary, Remy." She offered him another smile as their glasses clinked, then downed it. It wasn't much because, after all, she was working. Her dark eyes slid past him to watch as the last of the other patrons cleared out, leaving their cash on the tables. She studied the two guys whose beers she had just refreshed to be sure they weren't stumbling too much as they left. Once the door slid shut, she straightened and set her glass down.
"You picked a slow night to show up in Lawrence. You're gonna miss that soon, probably."
