Ron Weasley - Rose Weasley - James Sirius.
James just smirked insolently at the glare Ron had given him. In ten more years and being less of an arse later, it would have caused him to been sheepish at least. Now all he wanted to do was show Ron how much his glares and warnings didn't bother him; mostly because he was still irritated with the other male. Highly irritated. "Yeah, but think of her chewing off his ear. When Aunt 'Mione goes at it ..." It was beautiful really. So long as it wasn't you.
James did grin, again, slightly at Rose because her words were right from his thoughts. Honestly, if they were the evil Death Eaters he kept harping on about them being, he would have been dead by now. Or at least heavily injured. The thought caused James to frown. He was an arse and quite honestly he wouldn't mind hexing Ron. But the man DID grow up to be his godfather and uncle. And he STILL, unfortunately, was family. He would have to keep more of an eye out for the younger male, James thought as he listened to what Rose was chastizing him about with half an ear.
Another safe house, yadda, yadda ... devil's trap, blahity blah ... Ron didn't know, etc, et -- Was that really that much of a surprise? He'd been blase about almost everything except his, Rose's, and Lily's evilness since he showed up. Merlin. If he got himself killed, he was going to kill him himself ... Pausing slightly, James made a face quite like his mother's when she was both irritated and disgusted. Poor boy had just gotten a flash of what said mother must have felt like whenever he'd gone off and done something stupid. Like the time he'd launched himself off a tree branch when he was nine.
"Not even that." James said, speaking up ... best stay away from his own thoughts before he weirded himself out some more. "He'd probably run under his bed hiding about the evil death eater children." He said with another smirk. James looked at Rose when she turned to look at him with that annoyed expression. He almost felt bad for Ron. Rose had his temper and he wouldn't even know what was going to hit him if he kept annoying her. The look he gave her in return was sympathetic.
Though James had to admit to himself that he was rather impressed that Ron had remembered their names, but he didn't show it. "Know thy enemy." He drawled sardonically. He was still leaning against the doorframe, and the lines of his body only showing how bored he was. Very bored and hardly giving away all the other emotions that were swarming behind his eyes. As much as Rose was against the hexing ...
