Joanna Beth Harvelle ([info]harvelle) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
Jo was getting tired of people asking her over and over - on a near daily basis - how she was. Okay, so she knew she wasn't alright, or not one hundred percent, anyway, but she was dealing. And her way of dealing was to be busy. Focus on other things. But it seemed that she just wasn't allowed to do that.

She hadn't lied to Chuck. She had been working on lists, in her Hunting room. She'd also been pouring over maps and newspapers, trying to find some hint of what was coming next - and how they could find Lucifer, and stop him. But now that he was coming over - with pineapple upside down cake - she started to straighten things up, then headed for the bathroom to check herself. If she looked too much like shit, he'd just worry more. She cursed softly at the bags under her eyes, and the fact that it was pretty obvious she hadn't slept, then stripped and hopped in the shower.

Twenty minutes later, she'd gotten dressed again and brushed her hair out to let it air dry. She checked her cell and noted the text from him, then headed down to the back door to let him in so they wouldn't have to go through the main part of the bar. She opened the door and gave him an attempt at a smile.

"Hey, Chuck."
