WHO: Sam Winchester, Lilith, Meg!Ruby, and Dean Winchester (later).
WHAT: Not knowing the consequences, Sam uses his demonic powers to kill Lilith and breaks the final seal.
WHEN: Evening.
WHERE: St. Mary's Convent; Illchester, Maryland.
RATING: High.

The convent was dark, quiet, and littered with bodies. If Ruby had not been entirely sure that Lilith was going to be here before, the sight of all the dead strewn about the building would have made Sam confident that she very much was. It looked like the white eyed demon had played out her final hurrah with the corpses strewn about. Unknowingly, of course, but it was going to be her final party if Sam had anything to say about it. Fortunately? He did. There was a dull pounding in the back of his head as Sam quietly moved through the corridors - it was the demon blood, pumping through him, more strong and prominent than ever before. That was because Sam had drained that demon dry. He had not spared a drop and, in doing so, Sam Winchester had murdered an innocent woman. The guilt that he had suffered from doing so had been pushed to the back of his mind for the time being though. There was nothing more important to him right now than making sure that Lilith died tonight. All of the consequences, everything that came after this - dealing with Dean, dealing with his addiction to the demon blood, dealing with the fact that he had killed - it would all come later. Tonight it was Sam and Lilith; the night where Sam finally got the revenge he had obsessed over for so very long.

There was a room ahead. Two large, wooden doors were cracked open, allowing just a bit of light to flow in through the tiny gap in the door. Sam placed a hand to his mouth and nodded ahead, indicating that they ought to give that room a try before moving on. Sam stepped over a corpse and drew in a deep breath. This was it. He was finally there. All that hunting, all that searching, all of that frustration...Lilith was going to die tonight and Sam was going to be the one to make sure that she did.

"Stay behind me," Sam told Ruby, pausing just a few feet away from the door ahead. "I don't want her getting anywhere near you." He might have been able to take Lilith on now that he was his strongest, but Sam still didn't want to put Ruby at risk. Bringing her along with him was already risky enough as it were. Sam exchanged a long, hard look with Ruby before he advanced forward and moved ahead to kick the doors open.

It was time for Lilith to die.

Lilith looked surprised. That look on her face only made Sam feel all the more delighted. She was going to die. Finally, Lilith was going to be gone forever. She'd go to that place of nonexistence and Sam would never have to see those haunting white eyes of hers ever again. The corner of his mouth almost twitched into a smile, but Sam held back on doing so for the sake of keeping his head in the game. He couldn't walk around grinning at Lilith when she was still very much capable of putting up a fight. Quickly, Sam threw an arm out and focused on forcing her to slam into the white marble stairs behind her. It didn't take much effort on his part to make her fly. Not when he was so hopped up on demon blood. So much demon blood. It made him stronger than he ever thought he could have been.

Sam couldn't help it - he grinned.

"I told you we'd be seeing each other real soon," he said determinedly. "This is the end for you, Lilith. No more seals. No more apocalypse. Nothing." Sam reached out again with his mind and focused on grabbed hold of the hideous monster curled away inside of that blonde woman. Sam was almost glad that he was facing off Lilith in a woman's body rather than one hiding inside of a child. It made this all the more easier. "This is for Dean," Sam hissed, squeezing at Lilith tight. She felt so cold that Sam couldn't help but shudder at the touch. Even in his mind, it felt wrong. Every part of Lilith was twisted; she was, without a doubt, the most terrible thing he had ever been close to before. Lucifer's first demon. The oldest one to exist. But not anymore.

Sam wanted to hear her scream. Then he would kill her. He focused his power and began to do his worst. Torturing her was probably very much beneath him, but Sam couldn't help but think of all the pain she had put those he loved through. Dean and Ruby in Hell and the things he had gone through up top because she had taken the last of his family away. The lengths that he had gone to just to get here. No, Lilith deserved to suffer. He wasn't going to make this quick by any means.

He was taking his sweet time with it wasn't he. All he had to do was kill her, all he had to do was end her and everything would be fine, everything would be perfect. He would walk upon the Earth and she would be exalted for her part in it. And Ruby, oh she'd suffer. She'd pay for her trechary. Ruby, Dean, oh Meg had so many plans for when her Lord rose. Or she would if Sam would actually get to it instead of getting his kicks seeing her hurting, tortured. That was all fine and she was sure he was enjoying it but would he just kill her already? Not that she could say that. No she couldn't fill the little idiot in on just how clever she'd been until Lilith was dead and her blood spilled. The death of the very first demon was the key. Oh and she knew Sam would look confused, hurt, shocked that his Ruby had so betrayed him. He hadn't known yet. Why would he know now.

It was a perfectly constructed plan, from her father, to the whore and admittidly sidetracked there until her. She'd fixed it, rescued the plan from almost certain failure and now they were here. And Sam was making the boss scream.

She was clearly in pain but not dead, not close. He had to kick it up a gear, something was wrong. Something just wasn't connecting in his brain and what the hell was he doing now of all times. He was stronger than this. She'd made him stronger than this. It wasn't just pleasure at Lilith's demise it was more.

Lilith had to admit ready for the end didn't mean ready for torture, it was excruciating. It was more than that. It was the kind of pain she didn't enjoy. Worse than anything bar many that first pain, Lucifer's. Oh...it felt like that, and he was enjoying it. He'd really done a number on himself. He was a freak now, like all of the demons. And it was a pity she wouldn't be around to see it. But it was time, like all things, for her to meet her end. Lucifer would walk and the world would burn and she would be the cause. Maybe it was true, the angels would send down Micheal and Lucifer would face him, and then...

Well that wasn't her story to tell.

That and she was starting to loose focus through the pain. She screamed and Meg looked on through Ruby's prefered eyes wishing she'd just die already, all her work, all her planning had lead to this. She just wanted her damn hurrah already

He could hear her screaming. After over a year of dreaming of this, over and over again, Sam was finally hearing Lilith scream. A spark of pure delight ignited within him, one that Sam wasn't familiar with in the slightest. It was new. It was...twisted. Sam was taking pleasure in someone else's pain in a way that was so extreme and monstrous that the old Sam Winchester - the one who used to find his abilities horrifying - would have been the first in line to shoot this Sam down. Sam didn't care though; he was finally here. Lilith was suffering at his hand and, in his opinion, there was no better place to be. Sam wanted to smile. He wanted to laugh. Instead of doing either of those things, he curled his fist up tight and dragged on Lilith's torture without a word. Everything that she had done to him. All the pain, all the suffering, all the thoughts of suicide, all the self-hatred - everything. It was her fault. She had killed him. She had killed his brother. And she would have done the same to Ruby in a heartbeat. Lilith was getting everything that she deserved.

"You're not so smug now, are you?" Sam said darkly, letting go of her for a short moment. Sam glanced back at Ruby. She was enjoying this. She had to be, didn't she? Ruby wanted Lilith to suffer as much as he wanted it. Maybe even more. Sam only wished that he could have dragged this moment on forever. But they were here for a reason. In this church, packed away seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Lilith was doing something here, which meant that she probably had her little demon minions running around somewhere close by. If they were going to do this thing? They were going to do it now. He'd dance on her grave later.

Turning back, Sam put his arm out again. He focused. It was going to take a lot of power. Maybe even more than Sam had to spare. But no matter what, he was going to kill Lilith tonight. Even if that meant that he'd have to drain every inch of himself to get the job done. Demon blood mixing with the power that Sam was pushing forward, Sam felt something inside of him darken. Something...new. Different. And for a moment, Sam lost himself. His eyes began to change - completely black, just like a demon - and Lilith's insides, slowly at first, began to spark. Raw power struck Lilith from the inside, lighting her up to the point where Sam himself could see every bit of the skeleton of the woman that she was wearing as Lilith writhed about in pain. It was the killing move. The one that would end it all.

Dean was grateful to Cas for getting him out like he did. He had seen how difficult it was for the angel. Understood it a bit better now than he had before, after the two of them had spoken after Buffy had been taken back. It had been a thought in the back of his mind but it never fully hit Dean that the other angels weren't just douches that Cas had to work with, put up with. That they were the other being's family and Dean knew better than anyone how difficult it was to stray from a command given by someone you'd once believed to hold all the right cards. Dean knew what it was like to look the other way while your brother went around doing dumb shit because you wanted to convince yourself of ... a lot of things. Unlike for Cas; however, in Dean's case neither John nor Sam for all their emotional power over Dean could hurt him the way that he suspected that Zach could hurt Cas. The Winchester knew a bit about Zach's messed up ways of persuasion and lessons.

Dean was very grateful and one of the ways he hoped to show that was by not letting his own moronic brother bring about the end of the world. Making Cas' actions being something done in vain.

He, of course, wasn't surprised when the angels sent someone to stop them from reaching Sam; however, because his goal was Sam he didn't concentrate on that. His focus was on getting to his brother on time.

Dean was all kinds of grateful to Cas tonight. Traveling by Angel-Express had never been his favored way but he couldn't help but spare the tiniest moment of appreciate for it. Really. When this was all over he might even get all sentimental and by him a card. Take him to Hooters to celebrate. Because they had to. Dean refused to consider any other option, refused to give into the sense of failure already settling around the moment. The situation bleak. Because even if he did get to Sam on time. How would even begin to reason with his brother?

Dean had anger and fear and a million different forms of self-recriminations that twisted a sick not on his stomach; nevertheless, he refused to panic and his mind. His mind seemed to freeze onto the task. That is only until the scream seemed to resound through and out of the Convent.

"Sam!" He called out.
