WHO: Sam Winchester, Lilith, Meg!Ruby, and Dean Winchester (later). WHAT: Not knowing the consequences, Sam uses his demonic powers to kill Lilith and breaks the final seal. WHEN: Evening. WHERE: St. Mary's Convent; Illchester, Maryland. RATING: High.
The convent was dark, quiet, and littered with bodies. If Ruby had not been entirely sure that Lilith was going to be here before, the sight of all the dead strewn about the building would have made Sam confident that she very much was. It looked like the white eyed demon had played out her final hurrah with the corpses strewn about. Unknowingly, of course, but it was going to be her final party if Sam had anything to say about it. Fortunately? He did. There was a dull pounding in the back of his head as Sam quietly moved through the corridors - it was the demon blood, pumping through him, more strong and prominent than ever before. That was because Sam had drained that demon dry. He had not spared a drop and, in doing so, Sam Winchester had murdered an innocent woman. The guilt that he had suffered from doing so had been pushed to the back of his mind for the time being though. There was nothing more important to him right now than making sure that Lilith died tonight. All of the consequences, everything that came after this - dealing with Dean, dealing with his addiction to the demon blood, dealing with the fact that he had killed - it would all come later. Tonight it was Sam and Lilith; the night where Sam finally got the revenge he had obsessed over for so very long.
There was a room ahead. Two large, wooden doors were cracked open, allowing just a bit of light to flow in through the tiny gap in the door. Sam placed a hand to his mouth and nodded ahead, indicating that they ought to give that room a try before moving on. Sam stepped over a corpse and drew in a deep breath. This was it. He was finally there. All that hunting, all that searching, all of that frustration...Lilith was going to die tonight and Sam was going to be the one to make sure that she did.
"Stay behind me," Sam told Ruby, pausing just a few feet away from the door ahead. "I don't want her getting anywhere near you." He might have been able to take Lilith on now that he was his strongest, but Sam still didn't want to put Ruby at risk. Bringing her along with him was already risky enough as it were. Sam exchanged a long, hard look with Ruby before he advanced forward and moved ahead to kick the doors open.
